International, Inc. (STSI) is a
non-governmental, not-for-profit 501 (c)
(3) organization established in 1994,
that
links women of African descent globally
to the resources that connect, advance
and strengthen us. We do this through
advocacy, education and the promotion of
African culture. |

end we sponsor health symposiums;
personal and professional development
workshops and seminars; global
briefings; communications sessions for
youth; fund raisers to enable charitable
contributions; publish a newsletter;
dialogue with legislators on key issues
affecting women and families;
collaborate with NGO’s, other
organizations and like minded
individuals; support U.N. conferences
and the Millennium Development Goals, as
well as network with women from around
the world.

International supports the UN conferences and annual
sponsorship of an STSI U.N. Day, that includes a global
awareness session for youth, a workshop on thematic issues
related to women globally and a Networking Reception,

of the leading causes of
maternal mortality and morbidity
in Africa. Every year,
approximately 250,000 African
women die in, during or
immediately after child-birth.
The Maama Kit contains basic
